General Checklist
What almost every applicant needs
Some documents (like police clearances and medicals) take weeks or months to arrive. Start early — this is the biggest cause of avoidable delay.
Identity
- Valid passport (all pages, valid for the length of your application)
- National ID / birth certificate
- Marriage certificate (if applicable)
Language
- IELTS General Training or CELPIP results (less than 2 years old)
- TEF Canada results if claiming French points
Education
- Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) from an approved body (WES, ICAS, IQAS, etc.)
- Degree certificates and transcripts
Work experience
- Reference letters on company letterhead confirming job title, duties, salary and dates
- Payslips or tax records as supporting proof
Police & medical
- Police clearance certificate from every country lived in for 6+ months since age 18
- Panel physician medical exam (only after an Invitation to Apply)
Proof of funds
- Bank statements covering the last 6 months showing settlement funds (unless exempt)
